Advantech Co. Ltd., a Microsoft Embedded Gold Partner, has just released two new evaluation kits that allow customers to take advantage of Microsoft’s Windows Embedded Evaluation Program, which enables Advantech to distribute a Windows embedded evaluation toolkit as well as operating system runtime image for either Windows CE .NET or Windows XP Embedded on up to 1000 SBC-based evaluation kits. With the runtime image preloaded onto our hardware platforms, customers can have device images immediately available, greatly speeding up their evaluation and build time for projects.

Two New Evaluation Kits Ready To Go
Advantech has put together two evaluation kit packages that take advantage of this special offer. One kit is an XPe evaluation kit and the other is a Windows CE .NET 4.2 evaluation kit. Both these kits deliver a more complete solution that help OEMs and application developers improve their time-to-market responsiveness.

New Advantech PCM-9580 XPe Evaluation kit details:

When Customers buy our PCM-9580 XPe Evaluation kit, they will get the evaluation tool free of charge.

The kit contains:

1. PCM-9580 SBC

2. Windows Embedded evaluation toolkits (Target Designer)

3. Operating system images (Windows XP Embedded)

CD1à Boot from CD-Rom, without using any Hard disk

CD2 à Boot from CF card or Hard disk (Copy the image in CD2 to CF card or Hard disk.)

4. XPe Run time License (Evaluation)
